How we handle personal information when you use this website. Last updated 19 August 2026.

Who we are

City Clinic Plymouth Limited runs City Clinic Plymouth at 21 Milehouse Road, Plymouth PL3 4AD. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this notice by phone on 01752 606600 or by email at reception@city-chiro.com.

What this notice covers

This notice covers this website only. If you become a patient of the clinic, your clinical records are handled under our patient privacy notice, which is available from reception. Nothing you do on this website creates a patient record.

What this website collects

This website has no forms and does not ask you to create an account. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. When you visit, our hosting provider records standard technical logs, such as your IP address, the pages requested and the browser used. We rely on these logs to keep the website secure and working, which is in our legitimate interest.

If you phone or email us

If you contact us to ask a question or arrange an appointment, we use the contact details you give us to reply and to book you in. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to the people who contact us. Please do not include medical details in an email. Anything clinical is best discussed by phone or in person at the clinic.

The map on our contact page

Our contact page includes a map embedded from Google Maps. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. This is covered by Google's privacy policy. We do not receive any information about you from the map.

Who we share information with

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which processes the technical logs described above on our behalf. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, it is done under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

How long we keep information

Emails and phone messages are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, then deleted. If your enquiry leads to an appointment, the relevant details become part of your patient record and are kept under the clinic's records retention policy. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

How to complain

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how this website handles personal information, for example by adding an enquiry form, we will update this notice and the date at the top of this page before the change goes live.
